19 Aug Harvest of Voices Is Back
Once again Harvest of Voices will be presented at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts, 226 Grand Ave., Paonia, September 22, 2016. The show will begin at 7:00 pm and seats are $15 at the Blue Sage. The event will be live streamed to the Paradise Theatre where a $5 donation will get you a seat. It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets for Blue Sage seating in advance at www.bluesage.org, or at the Blue Sage during regular business hours as this event regularly sells out early.
Harvest of Voices is the kickoff event of The Mountain Harvest Festival and is co-sponsored by the Blue Sage and the Delta County Libraries. It showcases both rising stars and award-winning writers, such as Craig Childs, author of numerous books including the Orion Book Award winner, “Apocalyptic Planet” and Lisa Jones, whose book “Broken, A Love Story” won the 2010 Gold Nautilus Award. This is a great chance to see these and other local authors make their poetry and prose come alive and meet the writers in an after event meet and greet. Then after the festivities at the Blue Sage, the fun continues at Linda’s Bistro with a party featuring the rocking sounds of Harry Harpoon. “This is one of the highlights of the Festival and we have continued to have overflow crowds, so buy your tickets early,” said Mary Bachran, part of the Blue Sage Literary Committee which juries the show. “The writers are amazing and the crowds at both the Paradise and Blue Sage have a wonderful time. It is not to be missed.”
