By our By-Laws, the general membership is charged with electing new board members at our Annual Meeting. The Blue Sage currently has 2 board positions open for a 2016-2019 term.  If you’re interested in serving on the Blue Sage Board of Directors, please read the job description and submit an application, which can be found below. CURRENT BIDS

Concert Series Marketing Materials Bid

The Blue Sage Center for the Arts is bidding out the design for our marketing materials for our upcoming 2018-2019 Concert Series. The specific items up for bid are as follows:

  • A logo for our Concert Series for not only our upcoming Concert Series, but for future years as well.
  • 10 Poster Designs (5.5” x 17”), one for each concert.
  • Concert Series Brochure with information of all of our concerts. (12.5” x 20”, folded into six sections each side)

 

The Blue Sage will accept bids through May 18th. They may be sent to director@bluesage.org, mailed to PO Box 700, Paonia, CO 81428, or brought in person during our open gallery hours. As part of the bid, the Blue Sage requests the following information:

  • Name, address, contact information, and organization (if applicable).
  • Qualifications and experience with supporting documentation where needed.
  • Examples of past work with clients.
  • An up to 500-word description of the style, method, and/or vision the bidder brings to this project.

 

The selected bid will be required to sign a contract with the Blue Sage confirming the project parameters, timeframe, and compensation. The selected bidder will be expected to work on this project immediately to ensure these materials will be ready to distribute as soon as possible.

JOB OPENINGS

 

Part-time Grant Writer Position (First review planned May 14th)

 

Summary

The Blue Sage Center for the Arts seeks an experienced part-time grant writer to research and write grant proposals to support Blue Sage’s mission and grow its financial support. The grant writer will be responsible for identifying and developing new granting and funding opportunities in the areas of musical arts, literary arts, arts educational programs, mixed-media and visual arts, and historical building restoration and repairs. This is an independent contractor position estimated at 10-15 hours per week.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in researching grant opportunities and foundation support
  • Experience writing grant proposals for medium-sized nonprofits
  • Experience writing grant proposals in the performing arts (musical and literary) and creative arts areas for adults and children’s programs
  • Demonstrated success in securing grants
  • Relevant bachelors or advanced degree
  • Positive attitude; excellent organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work remotely and occasionally come to the organization as required

Part-time Assistant Manager Position (First review planned May 14th)

 

Summary

The Blue Sage Center for the Arts seeks an Assistant Manager with experience in administrative work, database entry, and event planning. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for helping run the front desk during gallery hours, will help input information into our database, and will support and assist the General Manager in event planning and other administrative projects as required. This is a staff position and is starting at 12 hours per week. Expected pay is $12 per hour.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service including answering phones, email, and greeting customers in person in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Experience in administrative tasks including writing reports and filling out legal documents.
  • Experience in database entry and management.
  • Experience in event planning.
  • Positive attitude; excellent organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

Other:

Our Part-time Assistant Manager position is also eligible to be trained to be a House Manager. House Managers are contracted to oversee and assist with events that rent the Blue Sage’s space. This will be in addition to the starting 12 hours per week.
